Terms

In short: use the product to plan your wedding. Don't use it to harass guests or send mass marketing. We try not to break things; if we do, we'll tell you.

The agreement

By creating a workspace, you and Wed Organizer enter into the agreement on this page. The agreement is short on purpose. If anything below is unclear, email us before signing in and we will explain it in plain language.

Who can use it

Anyone planning a wedding (or a wedding-shaped event — vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, second-time-around parties) is welcome. You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live.

How you can use it

Use it for the wedding you are planning, with the people you are inviting. Do not use it to send unsolicited marketing email, to host content that does not belong to you, or to abuse, harass, or threaten anyone — including guests who decline your invitation.

We reserve the right to suspend a workspace that is being used to send mass spam or to harass other users. We will email you first.

Your content

Everything you put into your workspace — guest names, event details, wedding-website copy, photos — remains yours. We do not claim ownership and we do not license it to anyone else.

You give us the limited permission needed to host, render, and email your content on your behalf. That permission ends when you delete the workspace.

Fees

During the prep-domain phase, the product is free to use. When we introduce paid features, we will email every active owner before billing begins, with at least thirty days' notice and the option to keep what you have without upgrading.

What we promise

We will try hard to keep the product working, your data backed up, and your invitations delivered on time. We cannot legally promise zero downtime, zero email-delivery failures, or that the product will always exist. If we have to wind down, we will give you ninety days' notice and an export of your data.

The product is provided "as is" — the formal disclaimer your lawyer would expect lives in the long version below.

Limits

If something goes wrong and you sustain damages because of the product, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the prior twelve months. During the free phase, that means the limit is essentially zero. We mention this not to be cold but because the alternative is liability insurance neither of us wants to pay for.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you want, from Settings. We can close your account if you violate these terms — we will email you and give you a chance to fix it unless the violation is severe.

Changes

When these terms change in a material way, we will email every active owner at least fourteen days before the change takes effect.
